Exhibiting at the National Franchise Expo

Emma Harrison News

We were first timers to The National Franchise Exhibition at the NEC in Birmingham over the weekend, and what a fantastic couple of days it was. We arrived to set up on Thursday afternoon, after a last minute dash to Ikea, and had everything in place ready for the morning. Access to the hall was nice and easy during set up, which meant we didn’t have to traipse around carrying heavy boxes.

The event organisers were great, they were never too far away if you needed anything, and always walking around with smiles on their faces.

It’s been a while since we’ve exhibited, and it was nice to be back in that buzzy atmosphere, chatting to our stand neighbours and wandering around seeing what goodies we could grab 😊. Tea and coffee was complimentary for exhibitors as well as a drinks reception on Friday evening.

Having not attended before we weren’t entirely sure what to expect, but hoped we would at least get some interest on our stand. A few minutes into opening on day 1, we had people on our stand, and it stayed like that for 2 days. It was great to be there, chatting to people that were interested in knowing more about us, and we even had a few people that came to the show specifically to see us.

Co-founder Paul Harrison gave a fantastic presentation on ‘Only one thing matters.. Passion’ which gave attendees some helpful advice on things to think about before buying a franchise. You don’t always need experience in the industry you’re buying into, but one thing you can’t be successful without, is having passion for what you’re doing.

All in all the expo went extremely well and exceeded our expectations, we will certainly be back!

We had a prize draw to win £500 holiday vouchers, the winner will be announced on Tuesday the 8th of October.
